I haven't posted images on the blog for quite some time. Here's just a handful of the birds that call Cromwell Bottom their home and are part of the impressive list of all that do. Enjoy!
A few images from yesterday afternoon. A dozen or so bullfinch, great tit and blue tit along with long-tailed tit, chaffinch and robin were around for most of the time. A jay put in a very quick visit, too.
A few of the birds that were round and about the feeders last Saturday. A jay and great spotted woodpecker kept out of camera range. And, at the weir, a pair of mallards and a teal. Enjoy!
There was plenty of activity yesterday, as last week, when I spent time at the Viewing Area. The female pheasant was still about and a sparrowhawk had feasted on a pigeon earlier in the day. I don't know what species, but it may have been the mate of the woodpigeon that was around all the time I was there. It's the first time I've seen a woodpigeon feeding on the tables. If so, an unlucky visit for the bird that got caught.
