Thank you all for last night's meeting. I learned a lot about where the group needs to put its efforts for birds of concern locally. It was great to hear that we are something of a bullfinch stronghold and that their liking for our reserve is shared by a number of other species. I will look forward to helping other birds to find a home, a nesting site or a winter stopover with us.
We had an important reminder about protecting habitat so that's one to work on - no habitat, no anything! So it will be good to see news of work on plants, bugs etc around the reserve and I WILL try to get to some work days.
