Work Party Tomorrow
The work party scheduled for tomorrow the 25th is postponed until the 1st of September due to materials required not being available until next week. The bench and also the seat for the photoghraphers area will be fitted then.

Willow Screen Weaving
Hello
Just thought I'd put up some pictures of the work we did today. Me, Alan and Mike did some more work on the bird screen. We cut and wove some more willow into the screen. Some more work needs to be done but we're over half way there.

Moth Evening
Hi all
The moth evening scheduled for this Saturday the 18th has been postponed to Saturday the 25th of August.

Cromwell This Lunchtime - Purple Hairstreak
The Environment Agency were down on the river today (thanks Robin for the text). They were surveying the Calder below the weir for numbers/species of fish. I hopefully we will get info from them.
Also spotted was a male Broad Bodied Blue Chaser Colinsia dukensii. They are sometimes seen skulking in low herbage. It was quite a bold specimen and approached me without fear and communicated with me in a strange tongue.

The debris on the overhanging branch gives an indication of the hight of the river during the recent floods.
