But while walking around, a speeding cyclist came shooting round a blind bend and narrowly missed us. We noticed that some of the "No Cycling" signs have been removed. The gates have no effect at stopping them. This puts us off going there, which is a shame as we enjoy the birds and are looking forward to the breeding season. It's only a matter of time until someone is injured or worse. Perhaps these maniacs will be brought to justice before it's too late.

I can only appologise on there behalf Sue,we are in the process of have in some new signs made however its the old story of enforcment, its like dogs i meet a lot of resposable owners but there are the ones who dont ncare because they think they have the right to do as they please because they have been coming here for years, there has been no control, we hope to change that please dont let it put you off coming down, i will get in touch with Robin and Hugh and see what we can do and get back to you as soon as i can. yours Graham
Sorry Sue for your bad experience. We can only replace the signs with something more substantial. These people need educating but there will always be a minority who spoil it for others. Keep on visiting, we will strife to make it a safe place to walk and enjoy nature. I think that a uniformed officer there for one hour would cop several cyclists who have a disregard for the law and the safety of others.
