Active Cromwell

      Paid a visit today and I'm glad I did there was plenty to see,
      nice to see the Siskins back and the Nuthatch using the viewing
      area also lots of Jay's flying about. Members of the canal and
      river trust were handing out leaflets on the canal and 3 CBNR members
      were working hard at the cabin area GH, DL, and Bruce.








                          Lots of Blue, Coal & Great Tits
                          8 Long Tailed Tit
                          5 Jay, 1 Bullfinch, 4 Siskin, lots of Chaffinch
                          8 Goosander flyover, 1 GSW, 2 Wren, 4 Canada, 2 Moorhen
                          4 Mallard, 1 Grey Wagtail, 1 Kestrel, 1 Raven.

    Lovely photos. Really quite flattened looking birds nuthatches, like they've been ironed!

    and they don't stay still for long Simon, funny little bobbles of fur under there tail as well.

    You've captured some lovely detail, especially in the feathers, in these. It looks as though we could have a good autumn/winter photographing some great little birds with the nuthatch and siskin already here.
