Bullfinch, Chaffinch,
Blue, Coal, Great and Long Tailed Tits,
Sparrowhawk fly through,
2 Goldcrest by the ponds,
1 Pied Wagtail between canal and river near bridge,
1 Jay in same place,
6 Comorant on ski lake and lots of Gulls,
1 Goosander on river near the weir,
2 Dunnock, 2 Blackbirds, 2 Wren,
what looked like a Raven but not 100%,
Crows and Magpies.
Some beautiful shots there! Darn birds won't stay still for me.

ReplyDeleteI have had the odd Raven routing around on top of North Loop, & do appreciate the Not Sure! Unless they honk or are with Crows it can be difficult without a really good view.
You hear it as a honk, Barry. I hear at as a "Prruk!". It's only the older ones that develope the deep honk, but when you've got your ear in, you can pick out the younger ones. There was a brilliant pic of one on the Calderbirds Blog the other day; perfectly showing the proportions and diamond tail shape. Hills around Todmorden usually provide calling Ravens.

I call it Kronking we get a few flying over Claremount & Roper Lane area.
